The application is based on the concept that a Patient can ask the hospital for certain services. While requiring a service, a Patient inserts personal and request information into a Waiting List. Then an operator performs a Service assignment which involves Booking of this patient to the required service. Booking is based on the Events Calendar schedule. Each Service must have a Booking Slot based on a set of properties, so that operators can assign each patient to a specific slot. The key features that were implemented during the development:
- ACL – a control list that determines who can access a specific object;
- Dictionary – after registration in the system the patient will have an access to the dictionary that describes all the services and procedures;
- Patient Registration/Modification – the patient can register in the system and order the services he wants. In case of any changes he can easily modify his request;
- ‘Waiting List’ Registration and Modification – the operator will assign you any convenient free date after placing your request in the system;
- History Management – all your queries, the history of diseases and treatment are stored in one place. Moreover, it is absolutely confidential;
- Date Confirmation – the patient should confirm the appointment not to miss it;
- Service Execution – on the appointed day it is only necessary to come and receive the necessary treatment.

The main goals were to create a system that would automatically allow the diagnosis of human reflexes, and a portable device that would send data on Bluetooth and make measurings exactly according to the method of Y. Nakatani.
We have developed measuring device as well as the necessary software. The system provides with possibility of conducting express diagnostics on basis of Nakatani method and process the result to identify the general state of human health, which helps to efficiently control the treatment process of a patient.
Softarex Technologies, Inc. has created a number of unique directories, such as Energy Points – directory with points responsible for energy or Symptoms – directory with information about which points relate to some exact symptoms, for doctors working in the field of reflexotherapy. With these directories it is possible to search for bioactive points (points of acupuncture) on basis of different symptoms and sign of disease. For the creation of Automatic Reflex Diagnostics System we relied on methods of Y. Nakatani, professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology.
What was achieved:
- system allows to get information about the health status of individual organs and tissues of which the human body is made up;
- it helps to recognize in advance the changes in the body’s equilibrium and to expose the problem in the violation of health at earlier stages than in the case of using traditional diagnostics.;

Value-based healthcare authoring tool, mobile applications for patients

For this project we have developed iOS and Android mobile applications for patients, that can be downloaded on the AppStore and Google Play. Application functions are interactive, they allow patients to actively participate in their disease management when and where they need it.
Meanwhile, the mobile application includes such components as a flexible procedure module, a care program builder, a custom form builder, an education builder, and a general workflow engine.
With a help of Value-based healthcare authoring tool for chronic disease management and the mobile application users can easily manage their disease activity to improve the health outcome in a cost-effective manner. As chronic disease management program patients, application users have access to the following functionality:
- review of their personalized care program, clinical and laboratory results, upcoming labs, clinic visits, scheduled home care, and procedures;
- update their current disease activity state and quality of life and work productivity;

All efforts resulted in a new client-server medical billing software with multiple security layers and role-based access levels.
As a result of this project, the new medical billing software optimized the process of submitting and following up on claims to insurance companies. All of the billing processes were required to go through a review, reengineering and documentation according to proposed functionality compliant with HIPAA, HL7 and ODB regulations. This effort included the planning of how to depict each control and process, developing the expected results, documentation of the process and control evidence. The medical billing software developed by Softarex Technologies, Inc. included the following features:
- User Authorization: Only verified users were permitted to access the application;
- Role-based Access Levels: All users were divided into two groups with different access rights – Administrators and Managers;
- Multiple Security Layers: A set of privileges was defined for each user;
- Clinics/Doctors Information Management: The ability to create and manage all information related to healthcare providers using the system;
- Insurance Eligibility Verification: Real-time updating and confirmation of patients’ insurance status;
- Tracking: The ability to check each claim’s status, payments and office workflow;
- Reporting: The opportunity to create comprehensive billing reports as well as custom claims reports;
